Austin Sanders, Staff Writer at the Austin Chronicle, who reports on a recent study that indicates the need for 108 more officers in the Austin Police Department, in order to maintain the current average response time of 6½ minutes. Austin also discusses the critical staffing shortage at Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, and updates us on the search for a new leader for that agency.
