What Do Texas Candidates Stand For? Find Out on VOTE411.org

Austin, TX – In advance of the 2022 General Election, the League of Women Voters of Texas has published its interactive version of the trusted, nonpartisan Voters Guide at VOTE411.org!

VOTE411.org makes it easy for voters to compare candidates and find other voting information. Voters simply need to enter their address to see how candidates for statewide offices, as well as their district candidates for State Board of Education and Court of Appeals, responded to unbiased questions posed by the League. If there is a local League in the community, voters can also find information on local races.

The November 2022 election will determine who will lead Texas and who will represent our state in Congress. The leaders on November 8th will also rule on important civil and criminal cases, set the Texas school curriculum, and run Texas cities and counties.

“The League’s mission is to empower voters, and we do just that by giving them the knowledge they need to vote with confidence. ALL candidates with opponents who are on the ballot are invited to participate in VOTE411. Candidates' replies are printed without editing, so voters get in the candidates’ own words their position on issues that are vitally important to Texans. If your favored candidate is not yet on VOTE411, please reach out to them and encourage them to participate! This resource is for all voters, regardless of party.” said Joyce LeBombard, president of the League of Women Voters of Texas.

The statewide candidate information on VOTE411.org will be available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese. Printed copies of the LWV Texas Voters Guide will be distributed across the state to public libraries, voting advocates, and food banks. Also, a printable PDF version of the 2022 General Election Voters Guide can be found at LWVTexas.org.

LeBombard added, “Leading up to the November election, the League has been registering voters across the state and educating Texans on Vote by Mail and other voting processes. We will be engaged in a robust Get Out the Vote effort throughout this election season. As a nonpartisan organization, the League does not support parties or candidates, but with VOTE411, we provide unbiased, understandable information about candidates and races. Please share VOTE411.org and the League’s website with friends and family so that ALL Texas voters can be INFORMED voters!”
