League of Women Voters of Texas Expands Voter Guide Distribution Ahead of 2025 Constitutional Amendm

Editor, The Gilmer Mirror | Published on 10/21/2025

AUSTIN, TX — The League of Women Voters of Texas is proud to announce a significant increase in the distribution of their nonpartisan Voters Guides for the 2025 election cycle. This year, they distributed 98,466 copies, a substantial rise from 72,660 copies in 2023. This growth underscores their ongoing commitment to providing Texans with accurate, unbiased information to help them make informed voting decisions.

In addition, they expanded their outreach by delivering Voter Guides to 279 public libraries across the state, marking an increase of 140 libraries since 2020. These efforts ensure broader access to vital election information, empowering more voters than ever to participate in our democracy.

The Constitutional Amendment Voters Guide includes easy-to-understand explanations and arguments for and against each of the seventeen proposed amendments. This valuable, unbiased resource is available in various formats so that voters have options to get the information they need to be ready for the election:

  • Printable, web-friendly versions of the Voters Guide in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese can be found at LWVTexas.org
  • The online, interactive version of the Guide can be found at VOTE411.org/lwvtx.  If there is a local League in the area, in addition to the proposed constitutional amendments, voters can also access information about local races and ballot measures.
  • Printed Voters Guides in English and Spanish have been distributed to libraries, food banks, and other public places across Texas.
  • Nonbiased “explainer videos” covering each of the propositions are available at https://bit.ly/lwvtx-ca2025videos

“Each of the seventeen proposed Constitutional Amendments on the ballot could have a material impact on the lives and fortunes of some or all Texans. We encourage Texas voters to prepare to vote on November 4th by using the Voters Guide. We want voters to be knowledgeable about what is on the ballot so they can participate with confidence in this important election,” said Joyce LeBombard, President of the League of Women Voters of Texas.

“Voters have the right and freedom to vote without any intimidation. Our partners at Election Protection are available during early voting and on Election Day to help voters who face obstacles to voting. Voters should contact Election Protection if they are experiencing voter harassment or any other barriers to voting! Election Protection can be reached at 866OURVOTE.org, or through the Election Protection Voter Hotlines in various languages,” LeBombard added.

  • English: 866-OUR-VOTE or 866-687-8683
  • Spanish: 888-Ve-Y-Vota or 888- 839-8682
  • Asian: 888-API-VOTE or 888-274-8683
  • Arabic: 844-YALLA-US or 844-925-5287

Early voting for the 2025 Texas Constitutional Amendment Election started October 20th and lasts through Friday, October 31st. The League of Women Voters encourages all eligible Texas voters to cast a ballot in this election, whether in person during early voting, on Election Day, or by using “Vote by Mail.” Election Day is Tuesday, November 4th, which is also the last day for “Vote by Mail” ballots to be received (not postmarked) at election offices.
