Action News! January 2024

Happy New Year!

As we approach another critical election year, the spread of mis- and disinformation surrounding our elections and democracy is already on the rise. This is a time when the issues we deeply care about, including women's reproductive rights and bodily autonomy, immigration, public education, gun safety, and voting rights, are indirectly determined by the candidates we choose to support at the polls.

Fortunately, the League of Women Voters of Texas is here to empower you as an informed voter. Our trusted nonpartisan Voters Guide and VOTE411.org provide valuable resources to help you select candidates who best represent your values.

It’s a new year, and that means if you are eligible to vote by mail, you should apply now. You can learn more about your eligibility, application, and instructions on our website here.

Additionally, whether you moved recently or not, we recommend verifying your voter registration status. You can learn more about voter registration on our website here.

In addition to the demands of the upcoming election year, we're already laying the groundwork for the 2025 legislative session. We're excited to kick off our campaign to make Online Voter Registration a reality in Texas! We invite you to join us in this important endeavor by making a donation here.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our democracy.

Regards,

The League of Women Voters of Texas is working tirelessly to advocate for all Texans this election season and beyond. Donate today to support our mission of empowering voters and defending democracy!
